About
OraWhale. All is well.
OraWhale is a daily oracle and private reflection journal — a quiet place to draw a card, answer a daily guided reflection question, and notice what returns over time.
Why OraWhale exists
I’m Alice Yu, the founder of OraWhale. I built OraWhale for people who want reflection to feel gentle, symbolic, and private. Many journals begin with a blank page. Many productivity tools make reflection feel like something to track, score, or improve. OraWhale offers something softer: one card, one reflection question, and a quiet way to return to what stayed with you over time.
The card gives your attention a doorway. The question helps you step through it in your own words.
When attention is pulled in every direction, OraWhale invites you to pause and listen inward. It is a small daily return: one card, one question, one honest reflection.
How it works
You can choose a realm, draw a card, read its guidance, and answer the daily guided reflection question. You may save the moment as a memory, revisit past reflections, and notice the patterns that return over time.
Each card is a mirror. Each daily question is an invitation, not an assignment. Over time, your saved moments can become a living almanac of your inner weather — the moods, questions, signs, and quiet truths moving beneath the surface.
The Four Realms
At the heart of OraWhale are the Four Realms: Plant, Animal, Mushroom, and Gemstone. Each current realm holds 56 oracle cards, written as a symbolic system for growth, instinct, transformation, grounding, and the subtle forces that shape your days.
Each realm speaks in its own way. Plant cards offer guidance for love, career, well-being, and resources. Animal cards reveal radiance and shadow. Mushroom cards move through Above, Within, and Below. Gemstone cards reflect activation, distortion, timing, and gift.
What OraWhale is not
OraWhale is for reflection only. It does not predict the future, tell you what to do, or replace medical, mental-health, therapeutic, legal, financial, religious, crisis, or other professional support.
Return to the card. Return to the breath. Return to the daily question. Return to the quiet knowing beneath the noise.
Stay connected
OraWhale Letters is the public journal behind OraWhale: stories from the founder, notes on how to use the ritual, and quiet reflections on what it means to draw a card, save a memory, and return over time.
The Feedback Circle is a quiet place to share first impressions, report bugs, and suggest improvements as OraWhale opens and grows. You never need to share private journal entries or anything that feels too personal.
Initial availability
OraWhale accounts, free trials, and paid subscriptions are initially available only to residents of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old. Public pages may remain viewable elsewhere. Existing users may be able to sign in while traveling.
